Would it be smart to expose my girlfriend to XBOX Live and console gaming?

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for 4 months now and we're planning some stuff over the summer like going to each others houses, movies, etc. Now I invited her over and I am XBOX Live gamer and have been for 1 year (that's online, 2 years offline) and I wanted to introduce her to online gaming. Would that be a smart move on my part? What are some pro's and con's? And how do I found out if she is gamer material?|||As you have been going out for 4 months, I think it is a good idea to introduce her to something you enjoy doing so much. If you can think of anything you perhaps should pre-warn her about, then I would be inclined to do so, but treat it lightly. She may be a bit shy about "having a go" to start with, if you felt you wanted her to try it out, or, on the other hand, she may already know something about gaming and has perhaps just not really mentioned it. You may just have to play it cool, until she gets used to it, and then you should eventually find out how she feels about it. You have to remember, just because you enjoy online gaming, doesn't mean she is going to feel the same way. Perhaps you could just play some games on the console with her, rather than on-line, just as starters. Whatever you decide - Good Luck, and I hope it all works out well.|||Tough question mate. if you introduce her to gaming and she's cool with it then you can go on the steps with no fear but if she doesn't like it she could consider yourself as a geek. So the first thing you should do is ask her if she likes any game. Buy her that game, let her play and slowly introduce her. If she's not a gaming material why not teach her :D. Better teach her than let her rot and maybe be pissed that you made her to stop :D. Hope I was of some assistance.
