How much would you pay for a smart car in the US?

The smart car is coming to the US. A car dealership had a smart car in the 4th of July parade and was selling it for $25,000. In Europe they are affordable. This prices doesn't seem to justify anything of the car except the image of driving the US's smallest car. It won't save you money with its price tag.|||Google"Smart Car USA" Website for all you would ever want to know about the USA version of the Smart Car.

There are 3 models, the bottom of the line is called "Pure" it is priced at $12,000, the one up is the "Passion" it is priced at $14,000 and the top of the line is the Cabriolet (Convertible) is is priced at $17,000.

The Smart Cars currently available are "Gray Market" cars, Gray market are cars that were not manufactured to USA specifications and were converted to USA specifications by a DOT %26amp; EPA approved shop. The cost of conversion is in many cases greater than the cost of the original window price.

The USA Smart Car will be available the first quarter (Jan-Feb-Mar) of 08. For a deposit of $99.00 (refundable) you can get on a waiting list.

I am on the waiting list. I hope the answers your question.
