Whats the difference between a smart cellphone and a multimedia cellphone?

Im planning to buy a mobile phone and my options are Nokia N72 and a Motorola RIZR Z6.... But my pals say that N72 is better bcos its a smart phone whereas Moto RIZR Z6 is not.... what advantages can I have with N72 otherthan RIZR Z6 ? and what is the diff between a smaphone and multimedia phone?|||Smartphones are generally faster, and geared towards the businessman. Multimeida phones are usually geared towards younger people. Smart phones can get a lot more applications, like Microsoft office and stuff, while Multimedia tends to have a better music and speaker function. hope this helps!|||well a smartphone u can go on full websites where as with the others u only can go to limited websites. so if u need a phone with full internet access then the smartphone is the best way to go...also it costs more than a regular phone a month because ur will have to have it on a data plan and i believe thats the only way u can have the smartphone on an active line is to have the data plans on them.|||The main difference here will be the functionality provided by the phones, smart phones or PDA's are much more like a small size computer, they allow you to go online, use messengers, let you prepare your office documents, and they have specially built applications for office jobs. They can also be customized to your need, smart phones also come with multimedia capabilities, mp3 players, image editors, voice recorders etc, In general students don't really make use all the features of a small phone

Multimedia phones are colorful, come with a good camera, and mp3 players, lets you customize the skins, but over all the usage limited there and not much else to do with that. Also they have a cool look, usually students find that good enough.

I use cell phone to make and recieve calls nothing more so I do with an old Nokia phone.
