I have a JG Sig 552 Airsoft Rifle that comes standard with an 8.4V Battery. Is it smart to buy a 9.6V battery or is that suicide for my gun.|||don't listen to blaah, listen to me =D
first off, there are 3 types of batteries
NiCd-NimH-LiPoly
Nicad is cheap, but has a tendency to explode ( happend to me : () and you have to discharge it after every use. Nimh is pretty much standard and is more expensive but you do not have to discharge it. LiPoly was recently introduced. it is small very compact, has high rate of fire and lasts very long, but at a very high price.
Also the Volt matters
8.4v- Stock will fire ehh 15 RPS
9.6v- will increase gun fire about 18RPS
10.8v-%26lt;--- wont reccomend unless you have upped gun shoots 22RPS and will break gun if not properly upgraded
Also is the Mah
the Mah is how long it lasts
600mah=1000bbs pretty much
I have a 9.6v 2000 intlect small nunchuck battery and a 9.6v 3300 battery and 2 8.4v 4200 mah batteries. I sually use 9.6v for operaitions and 8.4v 4200 mah for skirmishes.|||No just keep it the way it is it will not upgrade gun performance but it will hold a charge longer but if yours is still holding a good charge just use that|||It has mostly, if not all, metal internals, so it would be fine. just use short bursts and you'll be fine.|||YES if it fits
This will help the rate of fire and fps my brother went with a bigger battery with his jg and it help a ton
