How do I get my Smart Art page numbers to print when printing in 11x17 booklet format?

I am printing a booklet with smart art in the page numbers. When printed on 8.5x11 paper, the page numbers show up. When I change the paper size to 11x17, the page numbers disappear. I have tried taking the page numbers out of the footer. I have also tried changing the color of the smart art. I do know that when I change the font color of the page numbers to black, the page number will print, but the art will not. Can anyone help me with this conundrum?|||increase the margin to allow room and make sure the print page number is on
