Is this a smart way to invest my money during the coming recession or depression?

I'm putting all of my money in beer and liquor stocks.

Smart, eh?|||Stay away from the financial sectors, oil, housing, construction, and retail. No matter WHAT people say. These industries arent going to respond well to record tax hikes that are coming or financial drought. Do NOT get into renewable resources. There simply is NO money there. That is just another dumb govt gimmick which in the long run will bust like the dot com boom. Its not viable and cost effective, its just a dumb enviro-terror agenda item.

Go technology, communications, and medical and make sure theyre paying dividends. We live in a gadget age and they arent going anywhere no matter how bad things get. We still need to reach out and touch people. Spending on health care is only going to go up.|||And you just called me a goon on my last question lol. And hey it's your money do what you want with it, and I would not reccomend it.|||Please don't forget about Prohibition. Invest in funeral and graveyard stocks, if there is such a thing. And renewable energy. then send me $1000 after you make $1 million. |||tobacco aswell would be good. everyone loves a smoke when theyre down on their luck|||yea I'll be doing a lot of drinking for the next 4 years...

Wal-Mart also is a pretty safe investment|||Never heard of moonshiners? They come out of the woodwork during a depression.

People lower their taste. When you are broke...drunk is drunk.

I hope you invested in the rot-gut stuff.|||No darling, but I get your point. We are already in a recession and God help us from slipping into a depression. |||Last recession I think Anhueser Busch did well, but no. It's a defensive stock and will not lose as much as others. Investors siad Sin industries profits are stable during econimc troubles. A bad year for bear companies is a 5% drop oppose to 30% for retail. |||Investing a beer is a bad idea. Beer is becoming more and more unpopular now. That's why ANHEUSER-BUSCH, the largest beer company in the US, was acquired by the European Company, InBev. ANHEUSER-BUSCH has been seeing beer consumption fall over the years. And they thought it would be best to sell now while they could still get a decent price for their stock. If you want to invest in an industry, invest in oil.

|||No. Buy guns and ammunition so you can defend yourself from Obama's thieves dressed like tax collectors..
