What kind of dog is smart enough not to get tangled in a chain?

Are there any breeds of dog that are smart enough not to get all tangled up?|||A Stuffed one!|||What kind of human is smart enough to know better than to chain their dog?|||Don't chain the dog, then you won't have that problem.|||Hot Dog|||Well, I am against chains anyhow, but a dog shouldn't be left tied up alone if that's what you mean. You're asking for trouble. And I believe this is against the law in some states now.|||DOgs do not belong on a chain.

If that is your only option, you don't need a dog. Period.

Yard ornaments should be plastic or concrete even. Not a living breathing animal!|||a lab or a corgy or a winer dog|||They all get tangled. A kennel will work much better.|||any breed of dog can and will get tangled up in a chain.. this is one reason why dogs should not be chained. If you use a chain for the purpose of pottying your dog, then you still need to supervise your dog.

Dogs have strangled on chains and died. If you cant keep a dog in the house, then dont get one.|||Why would you get a dog and then chain it outside??? Would you like it?? The only dogs that should be kept outside are dogs used for hunting. They should be kept in a kennel, not chained. People that chain dogs out should not have dogs. My neighbors dog choked itself to death 3 years ago because it got tangled in its chain.

j|||Ones that are smart enough not to allow you to put them on a chain in the first place....

Make sure your yard/garden is securely fenced, or if you can't do that - invest in a large secure run - much nicer for your dog, and much safer too. Dogs don't strangle themselves in runs... and they don't get frantic either if introduced to them properly - no dog is really happy on a chain.|||whats the point in getting a dog if you are just going to get a dog, and chain it up in your backyard|||There is no specific breed with this innate knowledge. Some individual dogs will figure it out and not get tangled or learn how to untangle themselves, but it really isn't worth the risk of finding out of your dog can learn it.

Just think of dogs on the leash... if they go the wrong way around a pole, some dogs can right away realise and turn and go around the right way. Some dogs need encouragement to figure out how to get back to you. Some dogs need you to physically come over and fix the leash. This is just an individual personality basis, not a breed thing.|||y would u want to|||If you find out, let me know.

I'd like to have a dog that smart.|||Golden Retriever!
